After the board was primed 2X and painted white 2X,
it was ready for the sketch.
Next, I painted the tiger orange which made it look more like a bear cub then a tiger.
Finally, tonight I added on the blue paint. Now it looks more like a tiger.
One of the reflections of the eye didn't match the other, so I painted it over and will add the reflection in the other eye later.
Friday night the final and most important part will occur. Bottle caps will be glued on with the help of the 5th grade the "graduating" class. My son Aidan happens to be one of those moving on to Madison Middle School. Knowing all his classmates will be working on this mural makes it more exciting and a great motivation for me. So much of what I do every day is for someone else's children. Which is great but this time I get to help with one of my own! Can't wait to post pictures of Friday night!!
