Animal Week continues....Friday July 13th, 2012

Using only the Primary Colors we used paint brushes to apply watercolor paint very gently to the pre-watered surface. The effect is like fireworks as the paint and water mix. Also, the Primary colors mix together wonderfully!

While the watercolor experiment dried in the sun we worked in 3-D to form animals using MODEL MAGIC CLAY.

We practiced some 3-D forms first, ball, coil. etc.

 Jimmy's awesome penguin!!!

Tommy's favorite animal the chameleon using his favorite color GREEN!!!

During a well needed snack I read A Color of His Own by Leo Lionni.
Finally, Ms. Michelle drew a chameleon on the back of our watercolor paper and we cut them out with a little bit of help. Next, the chameleons and glued  to a black piece of paper to make the color pop!!!

Another wonderful piece of artwork by all:

                           Pretty Chameleon Sarah!!
