OCEAN WEEK ART CLASS WITH MS. MICHELLE

FIRST UP FOR THE DAY....MODEL MAGIC FISH SCULPTURES

Using clay for the first time this summer was so much fun!! We needed to all create the same style fish which needed to dry before painting. Model Magic can be purchased at Target or a craft store in white or pre-colored packages!! Looking forward to seeing the rest of the younger girls paint their fish and the older boys paint their OCEAN CREATURES today!

Afternoon Class: Mini Van Goghs

Just the beginning: Step #1 Clay balls squished into scales and pressed into clay body shapes that was stretched into a fish body form.

Step #2 (Thursday Only Kids ) Non-toxic Acrylic Neon Colored Paint applied using a touch of water and a skinny brush.

One Fish Two Fish! Matthew's on the Top and an Extra  on the bottom, for William who was out sick!

Dominic's Dynamite Rainbow Fish!

TUESDAY-FABULOUS FISH

Step #1 With some help from Ms. Michelle, everyone outlined the basic shapes of an oval body, triangle tale and fins, and can't forget the "fishy kissy lips!!  Next, they painted in their fish remembering to "dip and wipe" the bristles so there would be no unwanted drips!

THURSDAY AND FRIDAY-FABULOUS FISH CONTINUED, AND MORE!

Step #2 GADGETs were dipped into paint and printed onto the solid painted fish body in a Fabulous Fish design.
Step #3 After Looking at picture from a book named Ocean Floors, Pastel was used to draw more Ocean Creatures on the bottom of the Ocean Floor and water background. One final touch.....black outline each creature to make them POP out from the picture.

 Fabulous Fish Alex!!

More Stuff Ready to Go Home....

Can't forget about those Coral Reefs in a FISH BOWL. We colored the small stuff with pastel SOLIDLY, and left the rest to be painted in using Tempera Water Paint. We were so busy I didn't get the change to take any photos of everyone started FISH BOWLS. Here is the Final Product....
